what we do

Have you ever seen a Coat of Arms for your own last name?

MON-BOOK.jpg

Let me explain what we do

We research your last name (or any given surname) to discover if there was ever ‘Arms’ registered in that name.* If we are successful and can find its  our library of Arms (yes, actual old books! Mostly written in Norman French…Hows your Norman French today???

Then we shall issue a Blazon of Arms Certificate.

It tells you all about The Coat of Arms and shows a complete image and description. As well as an authenticity and certificate number which notes the book and page where we found this information. The name, origins and date it was first registered or appeared in record will be displayed next to the arms themselves. We then describe all the colours, characters and symbols are and most importantly we tell you what they all mean.

Below is the motto., usually written in latin or one of the Romantic tongues. However, most Heraldry itself was recorded in Norman French As this was the language of the Heralds and a pre requisite to become one. So now, once translated  it still does not make much sense unless you are a Heraldic Artist. Most people dont know what “Gules, a chevron Vair’ is... much less what it looks like.

Finally, after being researched translated and transposed into heraldic Art we are ready to issue a BOAC (Blazon of Arms Certificate) and encompassing artwork.

Our true bespoke display embroideries are hand stitched and custom-made to ordering the finest quality gold, silver fabric and thread to make the absolute best

embroidery pieces going today.

* This by no means implies genealogical descent or any relationship to client whatsoever. Merely the finding of the Arms registered to that name, individual or family.
